Squeeze the Lemon Lyme - April 28

Good thing heavy rain was forecast for one night this week, otherwise Best Wife and I would not have hailed a shuttle to the nearest hostel and not showered and not found a tick fully embedded in my waistline. As the doctor at Stoney Point Clinic was tugging on it I got a little worried when he walked across the room to get a scalpel. Evidently embedded ticks require the sacrifice of some flesh.

First picture is the famous Lemon Squeezer in NY. Oversized folks need to find an alt route. Next picture shows the trail on what might as well be a rock slab sidewalk, a welcome sight. Bridges are also always fun. They usually mean running water which is most soothing to watch and to hear, especially soothing is the sound of tumbling water. Love it.

The shelter in the picture is particularly cool because the large rock behind the shelter is also in the shelter. The inside back wall of the shelter is the rock. These guys who design and build shelters don't miss a beat.

Check out Best Wife walking up stone stairs that are epoxy doweled onto the large rock. Unbelievable. If anybody wants to see the most impressive stone step construction around go to Bear Mountain, NY.

  2. Thx for posting, was a bit concerned. You're looking so handsome, so beautiful, but perhaps a tad thin. Eat more chickin', and everything else!
