We're rolling through Vermont. Had our second best mileage week last week, 90 miles. We are getting scary close to the Whites. Not sure if I'm excited or intimidated. VT is not living up to all the hype about muddy trails. What mud is here is manageable.
Big time thanks to the Vaughns (picture below) who let us sleep in their basement, eat their food, and ride in their car.
Vermont wins the prize so far for best smelling pine forests. The aroma of pine is overwhelmingly desirable. Pictures don't do it justice. I want to bottle it and take it back to VA.
You may remember in May 2017 the pictures of the couple thru hiking with a 14 month old in GA. They are now hiking south from Maine so we saw them again. Pretty wild.
Most of you have never seen Pappy 12's yoga moves. They don't happen often but when taking in a view, yoga instinctively happens.
The AT extends to the top of Bromley Ski Resort, and then follows a beginner slope down the mountain. Good thing this hike will finish up just in time for some real skiing.
